Pre-trial hearing in Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority procedure

The Dutch Meat Association and more than 35 affiliated market participants (COV c.s.) contested the collected fees for compulsory examinations and phytosanitary inspections performed by the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority. After the state secretary of economic affairs rejected their objections, COV c.s. lodged an appeal with Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (CBb).

In a pre-trial conference, the CBb will decide on the procedural approach in this exceptionally extensive appeal case.

Defares represents COV c.s.
