Judgement of the Court of Justice regarding meat inspections

In preliminary proceedings the Court of Justice of the European Union found that the costs for official controls to ensure the verification of compliance with food and feed law which Member States are entitled to impose pursuant to Regulation 882/2204, should be confined to the criteria which are exhaustively listed therein. These proceedings will now be referred back to the Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (CBB).
