Defares assists Dutch pork slaughter industry in nitrogen emissions discussion

Within the context of the nitrogen emissions debate, the government has opted to advocate a far-reaching reduction in livestock. This decision is supported by the report “Not everything is possible” by the Advisory Commission Remkes, commissioned by the minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. However, this decision automatically results in a reduction in the supply of slaughter pigs.

Defares advises the Dutch slaughter industry about possible measures.
