Kenneth Defares  

​

Kenneth is one of the most seasoned lawyers in the Netherlands when it comes to competition and food safety. He represents a wide variety of leading clients in the food, agriculture, fast moving consumer goods and tobacco industries before the Court of Justice of the European Union and national courts against the State, the Food Authority and other public authorities.

​

Kenneth has been a lawyer since 1992, holding degrees from the University of Amsterdam and the University of Brussels.

 

He previously worked for the European Commission and NautaDutilh,

and he co-founded Stek.

 

Kenneth has registered the following main (and sub) areas of law in the register of legal areas of the Netherlands Bar: General practice

 

He obtains at least 10 General Practice training credits annually, in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar Association.
