Multiple fines for tobacco manufacturers

The minister of Health, Welfare and Sports and the Dutch Food Safety Authority find that slotting allowances granted to tobacco retail organizations run foul with the ban on advertising and sponsoring within the meaning of the Dutch Tobacco and Tobacco Products Act. For that reason the minister intends to impose multiple and significant fines.

Leading cigar manufacturers have asked Defares to challenge these contemplated fines on their behalf.
